Like in the ‘Lieux de Mémoire’ collection, Griet’s own nostalgic youth memories have inspired her to translate these warm holiday moments into breezy textiles.

To create this summer series, we took a year-long journey of learning the fascinating language of weaving. Many tests and countless experiments, supported by our new local producer, have led to this seductive new textile.

The repetitive, geometric patterns of the scarves evoke the innumerable windows of the apartments along the coastline. Or, maybe this rhythmic motif reminds you of many bathing towels on the beach, viewed from seagull’s-eye view? The scarves are named after residences on the Belgian coast.
