At the invitation of Texture, the textile museum in Kortrijk, we collaborated with French textile designer and artist Gaspard Fleury-Dugy to create a special scarf for his exhibition Soft Objects.
Gaspard is known for his colourful, three-dimensional knitted sculptures: from vases and totems to other surprising shapes that push the boundaries of knitwear.
For this collaboration, we took on the challenge of translating his sculptural visual language into a flat, wearable scarf. An interesting contrast: from three-dimensional objects to a two-dimensional design, which takes on a three-dimensional shape once again when wrapped around your neck.
It became a fascinating exchange between two design worlds, exploring shapes, colours and the technical possibilities of our knitting machines.
The result is a unique scarf, designed in collaboration with Gaspard Fleury-Dugy and knitted in Belgium.
The scarf is also available at the Texture museum shop in Kortrijk.
Hand wash or machine wash at maximum 30°C. Please use a wool detergent without fabric softener. Do not tumble dry and dry flat.
• We ship twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Pickup @ the Wolvis Studio (Tapuitstraat 9, Ghent) every Tuesday and Thursday between 13:00 and 19:00.
